I International Congress of Contemporary Theatre
April 20th to 22nd, 2009

Criteria for paper selection:

• Subjects and essays related to Theatre are freestyle, but we will prioritize those that give new approaches to subjects such as: Theatre and Development, Democracy and Equity, Memories, New Poetics, Interdisciplinary work, Latin-American Theatre, and Postmodernism.
• Contribution to Theatre Studies.
• Originality in research.
  

Presentation of papers:

• Paper proposals must be unpublished and must not been in process of publishing in any magazine, book, memories or minute from any other Congress.
• The accepted spoken-languages for speeches are Spanish, Quechua, Portuguese and English.
• Papers must be presented as a speech by their own authors in Lima.
• Authors accept to share copyrights of their papers/speeches for the Festival memories book publishing and/or on the web page.
• Fulfill requirement proposals will be sent to the Evaluating Committee, whom will select those that will take part in the Congress.
• Proposals must include the elements listed below, and must be sent by e-mail to: congresodeteatro@ucsur.edu.pe.

• It is requested to use Arial font, 11 points to simple space.
• Speeches must not exceed 20 minutes long.

• The authors of the chosen proposals must send the full paper by e-mail until March 22nd, 2009.

Registration and attendance fee:

• Local and Latin-American Speakers:         US $. 15.00 (fifteen american dollars)
• Speakers from the rest of the world:         US $. 40.00 (forty american dollars)

• The chosen speakers can pay the amount until the first day of the Congress.

• The Organization DOES NOT assume neither speakers’ accommodation nor feeding; nevertheless, we are in position to recommend some hotels in the city that offer discounts to the participants of the event.

• The payment for registration includes a Certificate of participation and free access to all the activities in the Festival, including plays, workshops and conferences.
